Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!!  Aaliyah celebrated Christmas four times already and has one more to go on Saturday.  We first went to church at 3:00 Christmas Eve; very crowded but a nice service and  as long as Aaliyah had her box of raisins, she did okay in church.  Then went to Tom & Cindy's for dinner.  Christmas morning, we opened presents from Santa and headed to Sheboygan for lunch at great grandmas house.  Lastly headed to John's house to celebrate with the Fernandezs.

Christmas morning; opening presents from Santa

Mickey and Minnie Mouse Snow Globe.  She kept turning it upside down to play music, because the one in her room does.  She still liked watching the snow.

She got lots of play food and a blender!
Christmas Eve....of course she has something in her mouth, this girl loves to eat!

Visiting the North Pole

Today we took Aaliyah to see Santa in Santa Land at Boston Store.  She loved all the decorations, animals, elves and Bruce the Spruce.  It was so fun just watching her explore.  When it was time to see Santa though....not too happy.  So, we had to do a family picture, which turned out nice.

Bruce the Spruce talking to us
She was in awe of everything....
And she's off to see what's next
And last was Santa Claus

Birthday Party for Jesus

This past Saturday, MOPS had a birthday party for Jesus.  It was so nice Grandma Linda was able to come too.  It was at Crossroads church in the morning.  There were plenty of activities for the kids, a puppet show that told the story of Jesus and cupcakes at the end.
Looks like such a big girl with all the other kids!  I was lucky to get this shot, she wasn't here long, too busy running around.

Christmas Trees

Friday night was tree lighting in the Third Ward.  It was a nice night. Santa and his reindeer were there.  We didn't stay too long; listened to the band, waited for the tree to be lit and let Aaliyah run around before heading back.

The Christmas tree lit up!

Yesterday we went to the tree farm and got our first real tree.  We had a lot of fun, it was a beautiful day.  They took us on a hay ride to pick out our tree; there were so many to choose from.  There was hot cocoa and snacks.  I love having a real tree in the house, smells great. Aaliyah has been a little naughty with the tree and grabbing ornaments, but just gotta work on telling her no.  Oh and today I wrapped some presents and was gonna put them under the tree....not anymore.  Aaliyah of course wants to see what's inside.

16 months old

My little princess is 16 months old today, where has the time gone!!  Her new thing is spinning around in circles just laughing and making herself dizzy.  She tries to do a somersault, puts her head down, almost like a downward dog in yoga.  Then I flip her legs over and she giggles and does it again.  She's just growing out of everything and wants to do everything by herself. I gotta start thinking of getting her a big girl bed soon. . ) :
Here are some pics from today reading Ten Little Ladybugs with her baby in her room.

First trip to Minnesota

This past weekend(widows weekend), we went to visit my friend Amanda in Minnesota for a fun girls weekend.  I went with Jenelle and Joy; the 6 of us had a great time together.  She lives just 20 minutes from MOA; we went to the aquarium, rides, had lunch and a cocktail, girls took a nap and of course a little shopping.
Welcome to Sea Life

Aaliyah, Maya and Joy.  This is where the kids could touch starfish or for Aaliyah just play in the water.

She did not want to leave
so much fun getting my shirt wet
Jellyfish!  She thought the paperweights on the right were cooler than the real ones.

 Her first ride!
We rode one of the pink ones, she loved it!!

Kokomos Island Cafe had the 3 cutest little chairs....just perfect for the cutest little girls.

More water!!  They just couldn't get enough. At Kokomo's waiting area was this pond; they would grab the coins and throw them back in.
Luckily no one fell in!  As you can see Aaliyah was soaked by the end of the day.

Coloring

Grandma Linda got some big crayons for Aaliyah and today I took them out to see what she'd do with them.  She had more fun dumping them out of the box and putting them back in.  And she put them in her mouth a couple times...so she may not be quite ready for them, but she had fun for a little while.

Fall Day

Aaliyah loves being outside, so the other day she played while dad did some raking.  It was the weekend it was 60 degrees!  Dad had to take the leaves from the front of the house to the backyard and Aaliyah had to come with some how....wish I got a closer shot, we still have to work on that!

First McDonalds trip

Aaliyah went to McDonalds for the first time last week with her cousins Lydia and Abigail.  She loved her chicken nuggets!  She got a littlest pet shop toy and enjoyed climbing up the slide.  We may just have to go back and play.
