Easter cont.

We were so busy on Easter, we didn't have time to open everything up. The next day the girls opened baskets/gifts from Grandma Judy and neighbor Jane.  Aaliyah got a God made me cute shirt and a color/shapes puzzle.  Violet got minnie mouse socks and bunny book set.  Aaliyah is still wearing her Easter dress....I think she wore it to bed and didn't want to take it off.  She's on a dress kick now; that's all she wants to wear.

Happy Easter

To start the Easter celebration, we went to a MOPS event at Crossroads one Saturday morning.  They told the Easter story, sang songs, made an egg magnet, Resurreciton egg craft, snack.  So much to do, it seems like we needed more time.  Aaliyah had so much fun!  Grandma Judy came along to push Violet around in the stroller. (Daddy stayed home to fix our roof).

We dyed eggs at Aunt Julies house.  Aaliyah had fun dumping the eggs in the colored water.  I'm surprised she didn't break any by just plopping them in.

Easter morning, I made bunny cinnamon rolls; found the idea on pintrest.  It was cute!  The Easter bunny had a Minnie Mouse theme; they both got the same basket and then one pink Minnie Mouse and one purple Minne Mouse.  I had to help her find them; Aaliyah had fun opening everything in her basket and Violets. Then she decided to unwrap each reeses peanut butter cup but at least she didn't eat all of them, just sorted those with the jelly beans and coins.

Found her basket under the table.

Found Violets behind the chair

She had the most fun with the Easter grass

We went to Crossroads church with the Fernandezs.  It was pretty stressful with Aaliyah and getting her ready.  She did not put her Easter dress on, refused to put tights on and would not let me do her hair.  Once we got out the door though, the day was good.  ( :  She is definitely one stubborn little girl.  After church, we headed to Grandma Lindas to see if the Easter bunny came.  They all got Disney paintings.  Aaliyah got Doc McStuffins, she was so excited! After that we had a wonderful brunch at Blackwolf Run and ended the day at Aunt Debbies to say Happy Easter to all the Schmidts.  And then made it home by 8:30, busy but fun Easter!

Violet's Crown

About 6 weeks ago, Violet got fitted for the docband.  She had torticollis, did some physical therapy and in the end they suggested she wear a docband to correct "flat head syndrome".  I was pretty sad when I found out she would have to wear one, but now it's seems like no big deal.  It really doesn't bother her, she's used to it now.  If she were older, it could've been more bothersome.  She wears it for 23 hrs/day. We just take it off to clean it and her head.  She'll wear it for about 2-3 months.  I can definitely see progress already, so I'm glad we decided to go through with it.  Grandma Judy started calling it Violet's crown.  Her is our little princess with her crown.

Bath Time

Violet is so good at bath time; she's all smiles trying to put everything in her mouth.  I love it too that Aaliyah wants to help; it's too cute!
