5 months old

My baby is 5 months old today and she's getting so chunky. I'm starting to think she's never gonna sleep through the night; it's a little frustrating, but she's too cute to get mad about it. And the doc said about 1/2 of babies are sleeping through the night. I am getting up about 3 times, just gotta be patient and it'll come. She's my little drooler and makes bubbles all the time. When daddy comes home, she always has a big smile on her face and will just look at him. She really watches what I do, whether it's eating or brushing my teeth, she seems so interested and wants attention. I put her on the floor to play and she'll kinda squeak if I leave the room. People say she's got personality already. We tried rice cereal one night, but only added a tablespoon. We might just wait 'til 6 months, there's really no rush. I took a couple random pics of her today for 5 months.

Playing with her butterfly. I'd say this is one of her favorite toys. I actually got two of them, so now we keep one at Grandma Lindas house. And I love this hat from Bens mom.

With her baby doll she got from my Uncle Tom for Christmas.

Day at the zoo

I won 2 zoo tickets at my last MOPS meeting that expire the end of the year, so on Saturday Aaliyah had her first trip to the zoo. She slept almost the whole time, but woke up to some giraffes. It was a nice time, a little chilly, but felt like Christmas with a little snow on the ground and and hot chocolate in our hands, we were good to go. There were a bunch of kids from lunch with Santa that day, maybe we'll do that with Aaliyah some year.

Greg really enjoyed taking pictures of all the animals...of course his favorite were the deer and elk.

Had to get a picture of the Reindeer for Christmas.

In the entrance they had a lot of pretty Christmas trees decorated by kids. Couldn't get Aaliyah to look....daddy tried several times.

Random Dec

Our Christmas tree. I have a couple ornaments that light up and play music, she'll watch for a second, but then look around.

In her snowsuit. I really don't get how babies are supposed to wear snowsuits, they barely fit in the carseat! That'll be the last time she'll wear it.

Everyone says how much she looks like daddy, but here she is pretty like mommy. I'll prop her up in the basinett and she'll sit so nice while mommy makes the bed.

We went to Bayshore to see Santa. She did really well.
