Potty Training

Week one of potty training check. Last week Thursday I started potty training Aaliyah....didn't think I was going to make it. First day, 3 accidents in the morning and refused to wear panties. But once we got through that, Aaliyah has been doing great! Maybe only 1 accident a day besides #2 of course; that will be awhile. She loves wearing her Dora and My little pony(horsey) panties. We started giving her a sticker for each time she went. This whole process is tough, can't imagine doing it for months! She now calls her diapers, night night diapers cuz she only wears them when she goes to bed. I do have to invest in some pull-ups though. Because everytime we go anywhere I'm putting a diaper on here, which is probably confusing her. Pullups will be great for going places and diapers for bedtime. I think she's getting the hang of it; she gets excited when she goes. And even at Grandma and Lolo's house she does great.

Awesome Sisters

We had another photo shoot at our house today. They got matching sister shirts when Violet was born and now they both fit in them, so had to take some pictures.

Vera Bradley Baby

I love Violet's Vera Bradley outfit so I had Daddy take some pictures of her in it! Of course Aaliyah wanted to be in the picture too. These were taken Sunday the 19th.

January Update

Last week Tuesday we went to Julies' house for a playdate. Every since Christmas, Aaliyah has been wanting to go to Julie's house. Aaliyah got to paint for the first time! Lydia and Aaliyah dressed up in princess dresses; lots of fun things to do there. It's always nice to get out of the house. Usually it's to the grocery store or other shopping so it's great for Aaliyah to play with her cousins. We're hoping to get back to the library for story time, but it's been so cold I don't want to go anywhere.
We also went to the Doctor last week Tuesday for Violet's 4 month checkup. We all ended up getting shots, me and Aaliyah got the flu shot. Violet is doing well, a healthy 15 lbs! The doctor did suggest we get physical therapy though for her head. We finished speech therapy for Aaliyah, now it's on to the next one.

Christmas

Christmas was a lot of fun this year for Aaliyah to open presents and of course special for Violet's 1st Christmas. Christmas morning we opened presents and ate cinnamon rolls. It was a nice relaxing morning at home. The Fernandezs came over later in the afternoon; we had a huge variety of food; ham, green bean casserole, lobster, pansit, chicken curry, squid and sweet potatoes. The day after Christmas we celebrated with my mom and sisters. Everyone was there except for Greg who had to work. It was nice for Aaliyah to play with her cousins again.
